Christopher Whyms-Stone

Christopher Whyms-Stone is a Registered Architect since 2002 and served as the JIA President from 2006 – 2008. He is a graduate of the School of Architecture at the University of Florida and the Caribbean School of Architecture in the undergraduate and graduate programs for 14 years. In 2000 he co-founded and is the current MD of the architecture firm Cornerstone.design.

Cornerstone.design is considered innovative and contemporary while recognizing the special conditions of the Caribbean environment. CW is also the architect of record and current Curator of the Trench Town Culture Yard, a heritage and educational project which functions as a catalyst for a latent community tourism economy. CWS’s interests are in line with the Boards on which he serves. CWS Serves as the Deputy Chairman of the NRCA & TCPA.

He also serves on the TPDCo. Board and is a Trustee of the JNHT.
CWS is very passionate about Jamaica, its history, and its potential to be better.

He enjoys traveling, snorkeling, and playing football and is a proud husband and father of 3 children.
